As we've tried to be healthy we've experimented with many many low-no sugar foods. This recipe looked and smelled absolutely bizarre as we made it. However, when we ate it we were pleasantly surprised to find that it was absolutely delicious. This is a great recipe! If you're trying to be healthy, check it out! :)

Sugar-Free Baked Beans and Pork

Ingredients
- 2 T extra virgin olive oil
- 1 ½ c onion, chopped
- ⅔ c celery, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 15 oz petite diced tomatoes
- 1 c water
- ¼ c maple syrup
- ¼ c cider vinegar
- 2 T spicy brown mustard
- ½ T Worcestershire sauce
- 1 dash hot pepper sauce
- 4 ½ c dried navy beans, cooked and drained
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
- In a large skillet heat oil over medium heat and add onions and celery. Cook for 8 minutes until translucent, then add garlic.
- Stir in tomatoes, water, maple syrup, vinegar, mustard, pepper sauce, and then salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
- Stir in beans and pour into a large baking dish.
- Bake for one hour. Add water if needed.
